Roskilde

I went to the Vikingekibs museet in Roskilde, my ticket was 70 dkk (student). There is an outdoors area where you can see how vikings made their ships, about the kinds of wood and craftsmen techniques, you can also jump into a boat, and during summer, go sailing.

This labyrinth is a Trojabord associated to superstitious beliefs in Scandinavia. Sailors and fisherman could trap ominous winds and fairy folks that brought bad luck before heading out to sea.

The museum building has a beautiful view over the fjord, with clear tall window walls. It's not a very big museum, but it has a nice sum up of the viking era, you can write in Rune, try on wardrobe and learn about the history and culture.

After seeing the museum I walked along the fjord shoreline. It was a sunny blue sky day and the fjord looked blue and beautiful. In the cold water, I found little freshwater blennies, clams and sea snails, on the beach, many shells and sand hoppers.

In the area you can also visit the Roskilde Cathedral from the Lutheran Church of Denmark, where most of the Kings and Queens are buried. There is a student discount but I can't remember how much it was, adult price is 60 dkk. I'm not a very patient person for this kind of tourism, but the church is nice and you learn a bit of Danish History. One of the many Christian Kings of Denmark has this cool painting. It is Christian IV and he  looked like a chubby pirate.

Fui ao museu dos Vikings em Roskilde, o meu bilhete custou 70 dkk (preço de estudante). Há uma área ao ar livre onde se pode ver como os vikings construíam os seus navios, sobre os tipos de madeira e técnicas de carpintaria, também se pode entrar num barco, e durante o verão, navegar.

Este labirinto é um Trojabord, associado a crenças supersticiosas na Escandinávia. Marinheiros e pescadores podiam prender ventos ameaçadores e fadas/bruxas que traziam má sorte antes de se dirigirem ao mar.

O museu tem uma bela vista sobre o fiorde com as suas paredes envidraçadas. Ele não é muito grande, mas tem um bom apanhado daquela era, pode-se escrever em Rune, experimentar trajes vikings e aprender sobre a história e a cultura.

Depois de ver o museu, andei pela areia. Estava um céu azul e dia solarento, o fiorde azul e bonito. Na água fria, encontrei pequenos blennies de água doce, amêijoas e caracóis do mar, na praia, muitas conchinhas e pulgas de areia.

Ali próximo, também se pode visitar a Catedral de Roskilde da Igreja Luterana da Dinamarca, onde estão os cofres da maioria dos Reis e Rainhas. Há um desconto de estudante, mas não me consigo lembrar quanto foi, e o preço para adulto é de 60 dkk. Eu não sou uma pessoa muito paciente para este tipo de turismo, mas a igreja é bonita e aprende-se um pouco de história dinamarquesa. Um dos muitos Reis Dinamarqueses Christians tem lá esta pintura. É Christian IV e parece um pirata gordinho.
